It replaces a 60-year-old tailor's tape measure that had shrunk.I bought this to make marks on it to keep track of my child’s height and I can carry it around and store it in a small drawer instead of the measurements being on the wall or some big thing to find a place for. I needed blue for a boy. This will work out great.The metal thing on the one end fell off.This was great, but I lost it. I looked everywhere for it but it's nowhere to be found. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars, although I never really checked if the thing is accurate. For all I know, 1 inch measures 1.3 inches or something else. Why aren't we using the metric system anyway. I think it's probably my fault that it got lost and not the item itself, however if it was really huge it would have been much harder to loose. Maybe it should have a helium balloon on it or something so it isn't so easy to misplace. Is it just me or has anyone else lost this thing?It's an interesting shade of pink that I like. It measures accurately. But the metal end on one side of the tape measure fell off the 2nd time I used it. I barely touched it and it just fell off. Other than that, I can find no flaw. It's still usable of course.I purchased this tape measure for selling used clothing online. I like to describe the measurements of the clothes so that the buyers know exactly what they are getting. A few simple comments about this tape measure--1) The measurements are accurate. I compared it to my other equipment and it seems to be fine.2) The build quality could be better. The metal strips on the ends fell off rather quickly--perhaps within 3 months of light use.3) The flexible nature of the tape measure lends itself well to waist or clothing measurements.Overall, the tape measure is still usable, even with the missing metal pieces. Stronger glue from the manufacturer would go a long way.Some of you don't know how to line up your standard ruler against this one, if you think it is off, because IT IS NOT. You're being dumb and blind! This is very accurate and an amazing price! I do a lot of onling shopping, so it is necessary for me to have this whenever I need to measure my body! It is also useful for other measurements around the house, if needed any furniture. I recommend everyone to have a measuring tape, especially if you shop online.Sometimes a product comes into your life that you can never come back from. This is that product. So simple and elegant in its design, it measures perfectly and makes sure you never end up with the wrong size ordering online. Gone are the days of ordering a jacket online only to find the sleeves are too long or the chest is too tight. You'll always know exactly what size you are. That is the beauty of this simple device. It can completely change your inbound shopping experience and I think that is worth way more than this cost. If you don't believe me, buy it. Worst thing that can happen is you wasted 5 dollars and I do that a couple times a day on coffee.Being a man i never have a use for this type of tape. However the normal tapes I use that are retractable and metal have limited uses when measuring your body or personal parts. So I have found this tape useful already and wounder how I have got on with out it before.Good quality, useful to have a tape measure for head/hat, waist sizes etc. not so easy with a flexible metal tape type...May have to buy again though, as these seem to have been "liberated" and re-assigned by you know who...Thank you..!Inaccurate, measured it against my other measures. Do not buy. I sent mine back for a refund.Excellent measurement precision, as measured with a vernier caliper. Good material, very malleable and not prone to creases and other types of form retention. Easy top rate. Just missing one star in Durability, because the brass tips are prone to corrosion. Although this won't of course affect in any way the use of the tape.This Tape measure is an excellent tool to have handy. I haven’t checked it’s accuracy because I trust the manufacturers.
